An Analytical Solution to the Problems of Three-Phonon Interaction and Second Harmonic Generation in a Solid Plate.

Abstract

A Green's function approach is used to determine the conditions under which it is possible to generate second harmonics of Lamb waves on solid plates and to have two Lamb waves interact to produce a third phonon (another Lamb mode). (Author)
