Dynamic Tensile Test Results for Several Metals

Abstract

Expanding ring and split Hopkinson bar experimental techniques were developed for study of dynamic yield behavior of metals. Preliminary results and spall data are presented for mild steel, armor steel, several aluminum alloys, OFHC copper, and nickel.
