Spectroscopy, Relaxation, and Excitation Transfer of Optically Excited States in Solids.

Abstract

The central focus of the research performed under this contract involved the optical 3H4 - 1D2 transition of the Pr3+ ion in LaF3. In addition to this transition, a theoretical analysis of propagation narrowing in the transmission of a light pulse through a spectral hole was performed. (Author)
