HF Communication Network Signals Using Channel Evaluation Data.
Abstract
The performance of convolutionally coded M-ary frequency shift keyed (FSK) signals in the presence of worst case partial band noise jamming is evaluated. A large number of cases are considered including: 1. several alphabet sizes; 2. many values of diversity; 3. several coding schemes; 4. both hard and soft decision receivers; 5. jammer state known or unknown (i.e., in the former case the receiver knows whether or not each received symbol has been jammed); 6. non-fading and Rayleigh fading channels.
