Abstract

Major technical and architectural aspects of proposed ISDN (integrated services digital networks) that are likely to impact Government telecommunications networks are discussed. Topics included are multiplexing of the data stream, channel structure, powering, networks numbering, and delays associated with out-of-hand switching. the complete preliminary report from the Kyoto meeting is reproduced in the annex.
