A Curve-Fitting Method for the Analysis of Data Obeying an Assumed Analytic Relationship.

Abstract

A simple curve-fitting method is described, having application to data which obeys an assumed analytic relationship, but in which an unknown error or offset is present in the independent variable. The use of the method is illustrated by showing how it may be used in the calibration of accelerometers and the analysis of drag measurements. (Author)
