Abstract

In recent years, the United States Army has undergone major changes in its selection of personnel. The Modern Volunteer Army Concept has been successful in providing the manpower needed to field an Army but numerous questions have been asked about the population characteristics of the United States Army as of 30 November 1974. Data is also provided for demographic indicators from the 1972 and 1973 Army Personnel Composites.
