This lecture series considers all the basic features of turbojet and turbofan testing. Partial contents include: General Survey; Aero/thermodynamic and Acoustic Considerations in the Design of Test Beds for Turbojets and Turbofans; Development Testing - Use of Sea-level Test Beds and Rigs; Instrumentation Techniques in Sea-level Test Facilities; Performance Derivation of Turbojets and Turbofans from Tests in Sea-level Test Cells; Testing of Turboshaft Engines; Data Acquisition and Processing in Sea-level Test Beds; and Uninstalled Engine Testing in Operation in the Royal Air Force.
