Evolution of Nonlinear Wave Groups on Water of Slowly-Varying Depth.

Abstract

Third order evolution equation for groups of water-waves moving over an uneven bottom were first derived by Djordjevic and Redekopp (1978). This report carries their derivation one step farther, to fourth order, utilizing the REDUCE 2 algebraic manipulator (after Hearn, 1973). (Author)
