Abstract

On 26 October 1950, the 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment took over security of a supply dump at Kojo, Korea. They were surprised by an attack from organized North Korean units. Two companies were cut off, finally managed to fight off the attack and regained contact with their battalion after losing 27 killed, 39 wounded and 3 missing. (author)
