Abstract

Accord Pond Dam is a 300 foot long, 8.5 foot high earthfill dam. The pond is a water supply reservoir for the Town of Hingham. There are deficiencies which must be corrected to assure the continued satisifactory performance of this dam. It is generally in fair condition. The dam is small in size and has a hazard potential of significant. It is recommended that the owner employ the services of a qualified consultant to evaluate the seepage at the toe of the east embankment and in the downstream channel.
