Iterative and Pade Solutions for the Water-Wave Dispersion Relation.

Abstract

This report gives the iterative and Pade solutions of the propagating and evanescent wave modes of the dispersion relation for the linear water-wave theory. Their corresponding FORTRAN subroutines are also provided. The Pade solution is generally more efficient than the iterative one in most engineering applications.
