Scattering Experiments at the Ipswich Electromagnetic Measurements Facility: Backscatter from Metal Cubes

Abstract

Backscatter cross section measurements at broadside incidence were made on eighteen metal cubes at X-band. The measurements are compared with theoretical predictions made using Enhanced High Frequency Diffraction and Augmented Magnetic field Integral Equation solutions. A composite solution is formed and compared with the measurements, providing a validated backscatter solution for metal cubes from arbitrarily low to arbitrarily high frequencies.
