Euro-Nato Joint Jet Pilot Training

Abstract

The Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training (ENJJPT) program begain in 1981 at Shgeppard AFB, Texas. Since that time, over 300 instructor pilots have been assigned to the program. These instructors, representing 12 of the 15 NATO countries, arrive at Sheppard with a very limited knowledge of the nature of ENJJPT, the training they will face, or the facilities provided by the base and local community. This guide presents a condensed summary of the syllabi of instruction of both ENJJPT undergraduate pilot training and Pilot Instructor Training. It also provides a brief history of the program and an explanation of the command relationships governithe supervision of the 80th Flying Training Wing. A brief orientation to both the local civilian community and Sheppard AFB is also included.
