The h-p Version of the Finite Element Method with Quasiuniform Meshes.

Abstract

The classical error estimates for the h-version of the finite element method are extended for the h-p version. The estimates are expressed as explicit functions of h and p are shown to be optimal. The estimates are given for the case where the solution u (H sub k and the case when u has singularities at the corners of the domain. (Author)
