Defense Logistics Agency Data System Center Forms Management System (FMS)

Abstract

IDA Memorandum Report M-366 is a design specification for a general purpose forms management system (FMS) to be used at the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Systems Automation Center (SDAC). The design specification has been written in Ada to demonstrate the use of Ada in applications design and to provide a modular language that can be partially implemented if desired. The functional requirements reflect IDA's understanding that can be partially implemented if desired. The functional requirements reflect IDA's understanding of how terminal displays are used in several of the DLA systems. The Forms Management System (FMS) is required to operate on VT-100 and IBM 3270 terminals and IBM PC-compatible workstations.
