A Fortran Program for Spectral Analysis Using the Fast Fourier Transform

Abstract

The analysis of random data is frequently carried out on-line using a hardware based Fourier analyser. Capabilities similar to those provided in the on line analysers have been developed in a Fortran computer program that can be used to analyze a digital time dependent signal at the post test stage. An overview of the calculation methods used within this software is also presented.
