Integrated Target Acquisition and Fire Control Systems: Avionics Panel Symposium Held in Ottawa, Canada on 7-10 October 1991 (Systemes Integres d'Acquisition d'Objectifs et de Conduite de Tir)

Abstract

The characterization of targets is of primary interest because it is needed for establishing the tactical situation, optimising target acquisition and optimising armaments utilization. Due to the necessity of obtaining information on threats which have low signatures and are equipped with counter- measure systems the operational specification of airborne systems have come to rely on the technologies providing multispectral analysis of targets. Target acquisition, Air to air missiles, Aircraft fire control, Air to surface missiles, Integrated systems, Aerial warfare, Data fusion, Multispectral detectors.
