Velocity and Scour Prediction in River Bends

Abstract

This collection of two reports presents results of studies on the prediction of velocity and scour depth along the outer bank of river bends. The first report on velocity estimation showed that the analytical method by Bridge agreed better with observed data than either the Odgaard method or an empirical method. The second report on scour depth estimation showed that the empirical method agreed better with observed data than either the Bridge or Odgaard analytical methods....
