Automated Shirt Collar Manufacturing. Volume 3. Sewing Head Control for High Speed Stitch Contour Tracking.

Abstract

A prototype of a two axis belt driven CNC stitching machine has been designed and built for use in the apparel industry. The objectives of this research are: (1) determine the performance requirements of the stitcher; (2) develop a mathematical model of the stitcher; and (3) recommend the design changes necessary for the stitcher to meet the specifications based on the simulation of the stitcher model.
