A Numerical Solver for Initial and Boundary Value Problems in Differential-Algebraic Systems

Abstract

Differential algebraic equations arise in many applications including constrained mechanical systems. This project has investigated both their numerical solution and analytic properties. Among the many contributions has been the creation, analysis, and partial development of the first numerical method for general nonstructured solvable DAEs. Numerical methods, DAEs.
