Abstract

The overall objective of this research was to address the human issues associated with the implementation of new technology in manufacturing environments. The research participants were two airframers and a major electronics firm. The objectives of the research were attained by: (1) executing a comprehensive literature search and evaluation; (2) developing a data collection package; (3) administering the package to the major electronics firms; (4) improving the data collection package through feedback from the electronics firms; (5) administering the revised version to the airframers; and (6) analyzing the findings and presenting the results.
