155MM Metal Field Artillery Projectile Pallet (FAPP) First Article Testing (FAT).

Abstract

The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School (USADACS), Validation Engineering Division (SMCAC-DEV), was tasked by the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) to conduct MIL-STD-1660 and rail impact tests on the 155mm Field Artillery Projectile Pallet (FAPP). This report contains test results with the 155mm FAPP meeting MIL-STD-1660, Design Criteria for Ammunition Unit Loads, and rail impact testing requirements.
