Irondale DBCP Control System, Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Review of 1986 Operations,

Abstract

The purposes of this report are to (1) review calendar year 1986 operations of the Irondale DBCP Control System and (2) assess its effectiveness for removing DBCP from the alluvial aquifer. Ground water level contour maps and DBCP concentration maps are presented for each quarter together with an interpretation of the data. No DBCP was detected in residential wells which were monitored in the Irondale community during 1986. No DBCP was detected in the six monitoring wells on the RMA downgradient of the recharge wells. Based on these and other analyses, the containment and treatment system continues to be effective in preventing the migration of DBCP off the arsenal. jg
