Orbit Analysis Tools Software (Version 3) Users Manual.

Abstract

The Orbit Analysis Tools Software (OATS) program has been expanded. The program's function is to perform satellite mission and coverage analysis using numerical and graphical techniques to analyze and display earth coverage data and ground to satellite parameters. Satellite ephemerides can be computed by anyone of four orbit propagators provided with the program or imported from an external source. Program enhancements include addition of another orbit propagator, another map projection, and use of color plotting, as well as display or orbit coverage using density contouring and a swath display function. The program is in FORTRAN utilizing the FACEIT program interface software. OATS is designed to run on a Macintosh personal computer.
