The MAVEN Approximation Method within the MUVES Environment.

Abstract

The Modular Air-System Vulnerability Estimation Network (MAVEN) is a stochastic, pointburst model for all classes of air targets to include fixed, and rotary-wing aircraft and missiles. MAVEN is an approximation method under the Modular UNix-based Vulnerability Estimation Suite (MUVES) and follows the Ballistic Vulnerability/Lethality Division (BVLD) Vulnerability/Lethality (VIL) process structure. MAVEN is intended to be used during all phases of the acquisition life cycle, from research and development through test and evaluation and fielding. The purpose of this report is to describe the initial version of MAVEN which models armor-piercing (AP) and armor-piercing incendiary (API) munitions.
