Composite-Reinforced Propellant Tanks.

Abstract

Design studies involving weight and cost were carried out for several structural concepts applicable to Space Shuttle disposable tankage. An effective design, a honeycomb stabilized pressure vessel, was chosen for test, and a test model was designed and fabricated.
