Dynamic Resource Allocation System. Phase 3.
Abstract
A dynamic resource allocation system has been developed at the USL A-CIM Center. This technology uses colored Petri Nets coupled with Object Oriented Databases to model apparel manufacturing cells and simulate their operation. The system is intended to receive notification when a change in manufacturing resources or production requirements occurs. It then facilitates the determination of appropriate schedule changes to overcome or lessen the impact of the changes.
