Superconducting Spiral with Integrated Coplanar Balun.

Abstract

This report presents the design and construction of high-temperature superconducting (HTS) spiral antenna with an integrated coplanar waveguide feed. Test results are shown to compare a HTS spiral with a normal metal spiral, indicating a large increase in gain at lower than usual frequencies.
