Freezing Temperature Protection Admixture for Portland Cement Concrete.

Abstract

The two prime objectives of this study were to explore the low-temperature performance of Pozzutec 20 and to develop a prototype admixture that would protect fresh concrete from freezing while increasing the rate of cement hydration when the internal temperature of the concrete is below 0 degrees Centigrade (32 degrees F).
