Investigation of Fast Adaptive Array Techniques for Advanced Communication Systems

Abstract

The important characteristics of an adaptive array (AA) employing the least mean square (LMS) control algorithm are quantitatively discussed. It is shown that a fast AA, one requiring a very short time to form pattern nulls, greatly improves. the resistance of a TDMA communications system to directional sources of interference.
