F-111 Bonded Panel Repair Status.

Abstract

A visit was made to Amberley Airbase between the 6th and 9th of September to consult with RAAF staff on current procedures and problems involved in the maintenance and repair of F-lll honeycomb panels. In conjunction with these discussions, a review of the current methods being used for honeycomb repair procedures was undertaken. The following report summaries the methods being used for repairs and the relevant reference documents. Also detailed are the major problems being encountered in these repairs and future problems which may arise as a result of the current status being maintained during the service life of the F-lll.
