An Adaptive Systemic Initiative of Tribal Collaboration for Increasing Native American Participation in Mathematics, Science and Engineering

Abstract

The Turtle Mountain Community College in partnership with the North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, was a warded a grant to support activities designed to stimulate the interest of American Indian youth from the North Dakota reservations in careers such as engineering and those involving higher level mathematics, science and technology skills. This technical report represents the first term beginning 01 July 1999 to 30 September 1999. During this period the staff from the two institutions involved planned the five-year project. The amount of the award for this period was $13,962.
