Lower Snake River Ice Harbor and Lower Monumental Locks and Dams. Adult Fishway Systems Emergency Auxiliary Water Supply Phase II - Technical Report

Abstract

In response to a Endangered Species Act-Section 7 Consultation, Biological Opinion issued by the National Marine Fisheries Service on March 2, 1995, the Lower Snake River, Adult Ladder Systems, Emergency Auxiliary Water Supply (Phase I-Technical Report), 1995, evaluates the need for emergency auxiliary water supplies for the adult fishway systems at Ice Harbor and Lower Monumental Locks and Dams (Ice Harbor and Lower Monumental). This Emergency Auxiliary Water Supply, (Phase 11-Technical Report) describes and evaluates the existing systems at Ice Harbor and Lower Monumental, outlines alternatives for improving the reliability of the existing auxiliary water supplies, and explores several design options for providing emergency capacity with pumped and gravity supply systems.
