Measurement of the Natural Bending Modes of Rotors in the TF30 Engine

Abstract

The natural bending modes of the high and low speed shafts from the TF3O engine were measured in order to provide an unequivocal reference for validation of 3D Finite Element models of the shafts. The shafts were assembled separately, and without blades or any engine casing structure.
