Excitation of Molecular Gas High Overtones by Tuneable and Solid State Lasers

Abstract

This report results from a contract tasking General Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences as follows: The contractor will investigate the applicability of external and intracavity optical pumping of molecular gas cells by tunable color center lasers and by solid state crystalline lasers to produce a tunable mid-IR laser oscillating on vibrational transitions of the molecule.
