(DEPSCOR 99) Experimental Investigation of Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices as Solid State Qubits for Quantum Computing

Abstract

During the past 42 months (4/1/1999 - 9/30/2002 with a 6-month no-cost extension period started from 4/1/2002) we have mostly achieved the technical goals of the project. More importantly, in addition to the scientific and technical achievements presented below, this DEPSCoR project has laid down a solid foundation for the establishment of a very competitive and successful superconducting quantum computing program at the University of Kansas.
