Multi-Functional Trailer Concept Development

Abstract

The U.S. Army would like to develop an organic material handling/lift capability within operational transportation units. The main objective of this project is to determine the feasibility of this concept and develop a best technical approach to integrate flexible on-board Material Handling Equipment (MHE) into the Army's future 34 ton semi-trailer concept, the Multi-Functional Trailer (MFT).
