International Workshop on Magneto-Plasma Aerodynamics (8th)
Abstract
The Final Proceedings for 8th International Workshop on Magneto Plasma Aerodynamics, 31 March 2009 - 2 April 2009 1. Plasma Aerodynamics - Physics and Mechanics of Interaction Gas discharge plasma formation with high speed airflows resulting in desirable modification of the flow field and the corresponding change of the local and integral gas dynamics characteristics of the flow over aerodynamics bodies; 2. MHD flow/Flight Control - Effects of Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) Interaction of the air-gas mixture flows with the external (applied) magnetic and electric fields resulting in significant redistribution of momentum and enthalpy fluxes to provide desirable modification of the flow field around high speed moving body and its trajectory in atmosphere; 3. Plasma Assisted Combustion - Ignition and Combustion Control mechanisms based on the strong impact of electrical discharge plasma on the ignition and combustion plasma chemistry as well as on combustion gas dynamics and mixing in premixed and non-premixed air/fuel streams; 4. Gas Discharges in High Speed Airflow - fundamental aspects of the interaction of gas discharge plasma and high speed airflows in the presence of limiting walls; 5. Physics and Mechanics of Shock Waves Propagation in Gas/Plasma systems - one of the fundamental aspects of Plasma Aerodynamics to understand basic physics of plasma/airflow interaction; 6. Related Topics - Miscellaneous problems partially involving main physical and chemical mechanisms and/or contributing to better understanding of the main topics listed above.
