Chairman's Report on JOCOTAS Activities

Abstract

The purpose of JOCOTAS is to: Establish a DOD standard family of tactical shelters. Enforce the maximum use of the DOD standard family of tactical shelters. Actively advocate for the development and fielding of state of the art shelters and ancillary equipment. Establish standards for shelters to ensure structural and environmental performance, and compatibility with commercial and military transportation and material handling assets. Share information and any available resources to eliminate duplication of shelter technology development efforts; working toward common solutions for identified problem areas. Provide a forum for interaction between JOCOTAS and Industry.
