Laminar Flow Breakdown due to Particle Interactions

Abstract

The principle mechanisms leading to the transition of a laminar boundary layer due to a small particle travelling through it are not well understood. Whereas, it is generally accepted that the effect can be attributed to the particles ability of producing turbulence within its wake, the critical parameters have not been experimentally verified until today. This report details an investigation into the breakdown of Laminar Flow.
