Evaluation of Particle Counter Technology for Detection of Fuel Contamination Detection Utilizing Advanced Aviation Forward Area Refueling System

Abstract

The objective of this effort was to evaluate light obscuration particle counters on U.S. Army tactical fueling equipment to determine if fueling systems and operations would cause particle counters to displaying erroneous results such as when air bubbles are present in the fuel stream.
