Generation of Internal Tides and Internal Solitary Waves on the Continental Shelf

Abstract

This project is a fundamental study of the basic dynamical mechanisms involved, and the consequent theoretical modelling approaches needed, in the generation of the internal tide, and its subsequent development into internal solitary waves over the continental slope and shelf.
