A History of the Little Rock District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1881-1979

Abstract

This current edition brings you up to date on what has been occurring in the District since the opening of the navigation project. The interim years have been somewhat less dramatic than the epic struggle which restructured the Arkansas River as a major avenue of commerce, and created the great reservoir-hydroelectric network of north-central Arkansas, but the last decade has not been without drama, progress and service to the region. Please join me in retracing this short yet significant period in history.
