Parameter Analysis of a Single Stage Induction Mass Driver

Abstract

The electromechanical behavior of a Single Stage Induction Mass Driver (SSIMD) has been modeled and analyzed with the aid of a computer. The analysis focused on the effects of circuit parameters on projectile velocity and system efficiency. A description of the model along with general rules for the design of efficient SSMID systems are presented.
