The Mean of the Field for Cylindrically Spreading Waves in a Random Medium

Abstract

The mean value of the field for cylindrically spreading waves in a random medium is obtained when forward scattering is dominant. In addition, the region of validity of the solution is obtained. These results are identical to the corresponding results for plane waves, except for cylindrical spreading loss.
