Mediterranean Environmental Acoustic Summary

Abstract

This report contains a compilation of environmental and acoustic data for the Mediterranean Sea. Environmental topics covered, both in text and graphically include marine climatology, physical oceanography, geology and geophysics, biology, and shipping distributions. The acoustic data include the sound velocity structure, propagation loss data, and ambient noise data. Variable environmental and acoustic data are presented on a monthly or seasonal basis.
