Abstract

This report presents the progress made at NRL in support of Advanced Development Objective (ADO) 17-54x, the High Energy Laser Program of the Navy, from the time of its initiation at the Laboratory in April 1969 through September 1969. This report includes both summary and detailed accounts of activities carried out in the three major areas of NRL responsibility: Site Implementation and Instrumentation, High-Power Propagation Test and Analysis, and Targetand Materials Damage Test and Analysis.
