Propulsion Systems Sub Project

Abstract

(U) Propulsion Systems Sub Project - Project funds will be utilized to identify requirements and perform land based and ship board testing of ship propulsion system improvements, on Gas Turbine, Steam, and Diesel Engine systems to reduce overall fuel consumption and lower maintenance costs and to develop a ship-wide monitoring system capable of conveying the fuel usage and operating conditions of numerous systems on the ship.
