Battlefield Anti-Intrusion System (BAIS)

Abstract

CONVENTIONAL PHYSICAL SECURITY The BAIS is a type classified unattended tactical ground sensor system that provides early detection and classification of vehicles and personnel to enhance soldier survivability and time available to determine appropriate tactical response. Equipment requirements were developed by the US Army Infantry Center, Fort Benning, GA, in conjunction with the US Army Military Police School, Fort Leonard Wood, MO. A 2003 approved Operational Requirements Document (ORD) supports this requirement.
